Wildlife Areas
To the north and west of Mt. Meru lie the Lake Natron Game Controlled area, Ngasurai open area and Longido Game Controlled areas. These are important wildlife areas with both resident and migrant wildlife.
These are open bush areas that can be easily accessed by vehicle or horse from the farm. A mere 15-minute drive from the farm will bring you to areas where sighting of wildlife is common. Slightly further afield, one might see a good variety of wildlife in a natural setting.
Horseback safaris originating from and returning to the farm have for many years accessed these areas (see Equestrian Safaris website), providing exceptional wilderness experiences to international guests.
